The flowers turned out nice and cheery, just like in the garden. I especially like the little dark one in the right corner. It's a nice addition to the picture. Coneflowers are a favorite of mine.
Jeanne - I love your Sept Journal - purple coneflowers are a favorite of mine - I did some postcards on them recently too and they were well received by my swap group... PP
Your flowers are great, they look so much the the real ones. I also love the August JQ. The warm browns, the little square beads, nice textures. very nice Jeanne.
That looks just like the coneflowers in my garden. How did you make the centers look so realistic, is that checkered fabric or stitched? I'd love to see it in person.
This is a journal of my artistic adventures. Since retiring those creative juices have been revived. You can write to me at the email jeanja60@earthlink.net or visit my web site www.jeanneoberrieth.com

I think you have captured the floweres really well. Especially they way the seem to reach out. Well worth redoing after the postcard.
I agree with ferret, well worth doing and you have a good start for even a larger garden quilt.

Your journal quilt is very nice. I like the composition and the colors are lovely.
Love the hot pinks and the plaid fabric you used for the centers. Very pretty journal quilt.
