Dandeneau's Fields

This has had some improvement over the weekend. The light rays over the house and field are not as evident in this picture as I would have hoped. My husband believes that I should add a few more trees in the dip of the right side. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Posted by Picasa

I'm not sure what effect you are after in this, but if you're wanting brighter light you might try making more shading gradations around the brightest areas to make them pop out more. Maybe using some mid tone sheers around the light rays or on the sides of the hills? What you have looks very nice with the dark background coming to a brighter foreground.

I like this piece. If you want something else on it, how about a tree coming up from the border somewhere on the right end? It would give it a little more interest & maybe the balance that I think your husband may be looking for.?

I agree with the last two comments made. My son (the arts major) suggested shears in a light yellow shade over the area where the light is shining down thru the clouds.
