Trees are a favorite subject of mine too. I love the shapes & textures. I have probably taken 100s photos of trees, dead & alive, stumps, & bits of driftwood. I love the both simplicity & complexity of their shape. Beautiful job.
I really like this quilt and would love to hear some of your methodology. Is the sparkle on the limbs from stitching, beading or some other type of embellishment? The textural balance between the net in the sky and your stitching on the ground is very effective.
This is a journal of my artistic adventures. Since retiring those creative juices have been revived. You can write to me at the email jeanja60@earthlink.net or visit my web site www.jeanneoberrieth.com

Don't you love the sculptural element of trees? The background fabric is just beautiful and sets of the starkness off the trees nicely. Good job!
Now, I've caught up with all of your journal quilts - :)
